 Magnetic Particle Testing is used to locate surface and near-surface cracks in ferrous metals by applying magnetic fields and fine magnetic particles.

What Our Technicians Will Do:
Our technicians will clean the inspection areas, properly magnetize the part, apply visible or fluorescent magnetic particles, and interpret the formation patterns to identify cracks or discontinuities. After inspection, they’ll demagnetize and clean the part as needed.

Where It Can Be Done:
Smaller parts and weldments can be dropped off at our shop, and our team can also perform MT on-site at your project, shop, or facility.

Why It Matters:
MT is fast and highly effective at finding defects that could lead to structural failures or safety hazards.
